INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
Pre-Treatment Process
-
Manual Cleaning:
- Use a stainless steel cleaning agent to wipe down the workpiece. For aluminum materials, replace with a cleaner suited for aluminum.
- Ensure no missed spots during cleaning, removing adhesive residue, dirt, grease, and other contaminants thoroughly.
-
Automated Cleaning Line:
- Follow this sequence:
- Hot water wash → Pre-degreasing → Main degreasing → Rinse with tap water (3 cycles) → Rinse with purified water (3 cycles).
- Follow this sequence:
-
Drying:
- Use an air gun to blow off most surface water, then place the workpiece in a dehydration oven at 150°C for drying.
- If possible, use cold air to dry the surface.
-
Surface Test:
- A properly cleaned surface should show hydrophilic behavior (water spreads evenly).
- Proceed to coating application within 30 minutes of cleaning to prevent dust contamination.
-
Spray Coating:
- Inspect sprayed workpieces for defects caused by inadequate cleaning. If defects are present, reprocess the affected workpieces.
-
Curing:
- Pass coated workpieces through the baking line:
- Initial bake: 80°C oven temperature (50°C workpiece temperature) for 10 minutes.
- Final bake: 270°C oven temperature (250°C workpiece temperature) for 30 minutes.
- Pass coated workpieces through the baking line:
-
Environmental Requirements:
- Conduct in a dust-free environment with proper ventilation or air extraction equipment.
Coating Application
-
Filter Coating Material:
- Use a 400-mesh filter cloth to filter the coating before spraying.
-
Spray Gun:
- Use the LPH-101 water-based spray gun (Japan).
- Spray pressure: 0.6–0.8 MPa.
- Spray distance: 15–25 cm.
- Wet film thickness: 3–5 microns.
- Dry film thickness: 1–2 microns.
- Application temperature: 10–30°C.
- Relative humidity: 45%–75%.
-
Spray Booth Cleanliness:
- Cleanroom standard: ISO Class 7 (particle count <10,000 for particles ≥0.5μm per cubic foot).
-
Leveling and Baking Areas:
- Cleanroom standard: ISO Class 8 (particle count <100,000 for particles ≥0.5μm per cubic foot).
